Tilt Angel was an extraordinary success for Salvage Vanguard Theater. Hailed as a "must-see" production by the Austin American-Statesman, the show blew all previous attendance records out of the water. More than 1100 people saw the show. In addition, the play brought in record box office revenues and record merchandise sales. And with Tilt Angel, Salvage Vanguard Theater surpassed the 2-ton mark of canned food donated to the Capitol Area Food Bank through "Starving Artist Nite." The script received a workshop and reading at PlayLabs in Minneapolis and a reading at Rude Mechanicals in New York. Tilt Angel was featured on both the Statesman and Austin Chronicle "Top 10" lists for 2001.
