SALVAGE VANGUARD KICKS OFF 2007-8 NATIONAL TOUR OF INTERGALACTIC NEMESIS
Rave Review in Dallas Morning News!

(Austin, TX) –AUSTIN, TX--Salvage Vanguard Theater kicked off its 2007-8 tour of The Intergalactic Nemesis with a hugely successful show at the McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in McKinney, Texas.

In what was described as a "coup" by MPAC's artistic director David Taylor because McKinney is a suburb of Dallas, the Dallas Morning News sent arts critic Lawson Taitte to review the show. The critic loved it. In his review, Taitte called The Intergalactic Nemesis "out of this world," specifically citing each cast member for their excellent work and Buzz Moran's sound effects as "the real star of the show."

"We couldn't be more excited about the response we got in North Texas," says Nemesis co-creator Jason Neulander. "This is our first review from a paper in a city with a population of more than a million people."

In addition to playing an evening performance for the public, the cast of The Intergalactic Nemesis played two one-hour workshop performances for middle-school students.

The students were mesmerized by the experience. One student asked if sound-effects wiz Buzz Moran was an actual scientist. Other students couldn't get over the fact that the actors used voices different from the normal way they speak.

Lee Eddy, who stars as Molly Sloan in the production, put it this way: "Watching the wide eyes of kids whenever Buzz did the sound effects was definitely the highlight of the workshops."

The Intergalactic Nemesis plays twelve other cities in the 2007-8 season, including the Wortham Center in Houston on November 17, 2007 (presented by the Society for the Performing Arts), and the Paramount Theatre in Austin on May 9, 2008.
