SALVAGE VANGUARD KICKS OFF NATIONAL TOUR SEPTEMBER 8TH

(Austin, TX) – Salvage Vanguard Theater will begin its national tour of The Intergalactic Nemesis on September 8th at UTPAC's Hogg Auditorium.

The performance is the first of eight stops for the company. Other stops for The Intergalactic Nemesis include:
• Carbondale, Illinois on September 22nd at the Shylock Auditorium
• Glen Elyn, Illinois on September 23rd at the College of Dupage
• San Luis Obispo, California on October 21st at Cal Poly Arts
• San Diego, California on October 25th at the University of California
• Texarkana, Texas on November 18th at the Perot Theater
• Troy, New York on January 18th at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall
• Great Barrington, Massachusetts on January 20th at Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center

Originally performed in 15-minute installments at downtown's Little City Coffee House, The Intergalactic Nemesis would pack in 100 or more people weekly into the confines of the café and tell the story of Pulitzer-prize winning reporter Molly Sloan and Ben Willcott's constant battle to save the universe from the evil Zygonians. The 15-minute episodes were penned into a full-length production that later spawned The Return of the Intergalactic Nemesis and the final installment The Intergalactic Nemesis: Twin Infinity.

"When we originally produced the show back in 1996, we dreamed about a larger audience." says Artistic Director Jason Neulander. "It's pretty sweet that a decade later that dream is finally coming true."
