SALVAGE VANGUARD THEATER HOSTS OPEN HOUSE SPECTACULAR IN EMPTY WAREHOUSE

(AUSTIN, TX) - Salvage Vanguard Theater invites the public to explore the warehouse space that will become the company's new home in Fall of 2006.

Events at the open house will include music, free beer and an opportunity to view designs and blueprints for the proposed performance space, art gallery, administrative offices and eleven artist studios.

"We're excited about giving people a chance to see the space before we completely redo it. Right now, it's just a big, giant room. In other words, the perfect environment for a party!" says SVT's Artistic Director Jason Neulander.

"There's oil stains on the concrete floor and a Miller High Life clock hanging above the entrance," adds Shannon McCormick, who will be SVT's Program Manager once the space is opened.

"But when you look at the plans for the layout and look at the emptiness that will contain these plans, the potential is incredibly exciting."

The open house will be held on May 26th at 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM at 2803 Manor Road. Admission is free.
