SALVAGE VANGUARD THEATER PRESENTS FINAL INSTALLMENT OF THE INTERGALACTIC NEMESIS

AUSTIN, TX-- After nine years in the making, the final installment of Salvage Vanguard’s popular radio series, The Intergalactic Nemesis has arrived in the form of Twin Infinity.

Tying up the loose ends left behind by Return of the Intergalactic Nemesis and the original The Intergalactic Nemesis was a driving force for writing team Ray Colgan, SVT’s Artistic Director Jason Neulander and Chad Nichols.

After nine years in the making, the final installment of Salvage Vanguard’s popular radio series, The Intergalactic Nemesis has arrived in the form of Twin Infinity.

“People have asked if there was going to be a third installment to complete the trilogy. We figured, the other two were so much fun--let's go for it! We had left the possibility for a sequel open in Return of the Intergalactic Nemesis and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to explore the conclusion,” says Neulander.

Colgan and Neulander have collaborated previously on writing The Intergalactic Nemesis and Return of The Intergalactic Nemesis. Nichols was brought on board for the final installment, but has been an influence from the start.

“I’ve been involved with The Intergalactic Nemesis since the beginning, but only as a voice actor. When Jason asked me to be involved with the writing process, I jumped at the chance. The great thing about this kind of show for a writer is that you can really do just about anything. It’s wide open,” says Nichols.

Picking up in the year 1942, The Intergalactic Nemesis: Twin Infinity returns to the life of heroine reporter Molly Sloan and her groom-to-be Ben Willcott. When Ben doesn’t show up at the altar, Molly knows something is wrong. What she doesn’t know is that, once again, the fate of the world hangs in the balance and that another Ben Willcott, from another future, needs her help, too.

Keeping true to the radio-series format, The Intergalactic Nemesis: Twin Infinity encompasses all aspects of the radio drama: live music (by SVT Resident Composer Graham Reynolds), audience participation and, of course, live sound effects. Buzz Moran, award-winning Foley designer for the previous Intergalactic Nemesis productions, returns to add his expertise in beguiling audience’s minds with simple tools like hair dryers, sand paper and hula-hoops.

“It’s what I do. Bending their reality and manipulating it in such a way that they no longer see a ConAir Hair Dryer, but a Zygonian laser gun,“ says Moran. “It’s like magic!”

Featuring the vocal talents of Mike D’Alonzo, LB Deyo, Lee Eddy, Jenny Larson and Brent Werzner, Salvage Vanguard Theater's production of The Intergalactic Nemesis: Twin Infinity opens on June 3rd and runs through June 25th. Performances will be Thursday through Saturdays. Tickets are on a pay-what-you-can scale of $12-$35. All performances are at 8:00 PM at the Off Center, 2211-A Hidalgo St. For tickets and information, call (512) 474-SVT-6 or visit www.salvagevanguard.org
