SVT Nominated for 17 Awards

AUSTIN, TX--Salvage Vanguard Theater has been nominated for 17 Austin Critics' Table Awards for its work over the past twelve months, a record for the small theater company.

"I can't believe it!" said Artistic Director Jason Neulander. "It's incredible to get this kind of recognition from the people who see it all--the critics!"

The 2002 nominations include Best Drama for Fugitive Pieces, Best Drama for Tilt Angel, Best New Script (Tilt Angel), Best Director (Jason Neulander for both Tilt Angel and Fugitive Pieces), Best Actor (Judson L. Jones for Fugitive Pieces), Best Actor (Jason Phelps for Tilt Angel), Best Actress (Leigh Eddy for Fugitive Pieces), Best Supporting Actor (Corey Gagne for Fugitive Pieces), Best Supporting Actor (Robert Pierson for Tilt Angel), Best Supporting Actress (Cyndi Williams for Tilt Angel), Best Sound Design (Jeremy Lee for both Tilt Angel and Fugitive Pieces), Best Musical Direction (Chris Black for both Tilt Angel and Fugitive Pieces), Best Set Design (Kimberlee Koym for Tilt Angel), and Best Set Design (Stephen Pruitt for Fugitive Pieces).
