Salvage Vanguard Theater Nominated for 9 Critics' Awards

Austin, TX--The Austin Critics' Table Award nominations came out today and Salvage Vanguard Theater is nominated for 9 awards.

Salvage Vanguard Theater's productions received nominations in the following categories: Best Director, Musical (Jason Neulander, Wallpaper Psalm); Best Actress, Musical (Phyllis Slattery, Wallpaper Psalm); Best Supporting Actress, Musical (Sharon Elmore, Wallpaper Psalm); Best Supporting Actor, Musical (Dan Dietz, Wallpaper Psalm); Best Scenery (Leilah Stewart, Wallpaper Psalm); Best Lighting (Diana Duecker, Wallpaper Psalm); Best Musical Direction (Graham Reynolds, The Intergalactic Nemesis/Wallpaper Psalm); and Best Opera (Wallpaper Psalm).

Salvage Vanguard Theater's newest production -- Return of the Intergalactic Nemesis, an episodic radio serial with live sound effects -- runs Saturday June 9 and Sunday June 10 at the new Austin Lyric Opera building (901 Barton Springs) for four performances. Salvage Vanguard's classic radio serial, The Intergalactic Nemesis is airing for six consecutive Sundays, starting May 27 on KUT (90.5 FM) on Soundsight, the station's program for the blind and reading impaired.
