Salvage Vanguard Theater packs quite a punch for a company its size. We're a $400,000 organization that reaches more than 30,000 Austinites each year. We believe in creating the highest quality artwork and compensating the artists who create it in a meaningful way. That's why we created the paid Resident Company program, the only program of its kind in Austin. The Resident Company artists are paid a stipend to live and work here in Austin, keeping our most talented local artists local. And, of course, that's the whole point of our new venue--to support the work of hundreds of artists every year. But we can't do it without the support of our incredible audiences. Because we intentionally work in intimate theater environments and we believe that everyone should be able to afford to see our shows, more than half of our income comes from charitable gifts like yours.

Simply put, there would be no Salvage Vanguard Theater without the generosity of our donors.

Your contribution can really make a difference! Even a $10 gift counts—it helps subsidize our two-for-one discount ticket program for our audience members who can't afford our full price. Here's what other small contributions can do:
$25 pays for half of a new 4x8 platform!
$50 pays for a costume for one of our shows!
$100 rents lighting equipment for a show!
$250 helps us build our great sets!
$500 pays a portion of an actor's or designer's salary for a show!
$1,000 helps to commission another new play (we've produced more than 50 world-premiere plays since 1994)!
$5,000 pays a Resident Company Member for a year!
$10,000 makes it possible to produce on a grand scale, like our original operas and musicals that feature dozens of artists working on one giant production!
