Not bored with the board
Published by Jason // July 12th, 2006 in Board BitsHow often do we publicly praise our board of directors? Not often enough, let me tell you. Well, I have to say, our board ROCKS! We were in this little cash flow crisis last month. Who solved it? The board’s budget committee. We’re putting together this year’s labor party. Who’s actually putting it together? The board. We are trying to coordinate our schedule of building and producing in the new space. Who approved the idea of doing Thrush as a site-specific show in the warehouse, pre-construction-style? That’s right. The board.
A special gold star goes this month to Marilyn Willson who has helped us raise $8,000 in the last two weeks to cover the costs of our next show Thrush. Way to go Marilyn!
In other news, I walked in the very hot sun to lunch today, listening to Jens Lekman there and Led Zeppelin on the way back. Who do you like more? Jens Lekman or Led Zeppelin? Post below and let me know!
Okay. I’ve been pondering whether to post a response, as requested, and here’s the deal. I’m tragically UN-hip and completely unfamiliar with Jens Lekman’s work. Now you know.
But Zeppelin *ROCKS*, dood!! (Uh, no really. I freakin’ love Zeppelin. Doesn’t everyone??)
