Suck ass? Or kick ass?
Published by Jason // July 7th, 2006 in It's All About The Nemesis, Show SchtuffSo, last night I performed onstage for the first time since 2002. Lee was making fun of me because she was worried I would really suck. She didn’t say that, but I could tell that’s what she was thinking. So before the show, I ran some lines with her, just to make her nervous. I gave some really wooden readings of lines like “Look, Molly. It’s Europa.” I shuffled my feet back and forth. I didn’t speak into the mic, but rather looked right at Lee. She started turning green, saying: “cut it out, Neulander.” I knew she was thinking “oh my god, this is going to really suck ass!”
Well, it didn’t suck ass, it KICKED ASS! I had so much fun in the performance, even Lee thought I did a good job. I got completely caught up the in the adventure and the show just flew by. Before I knew it, I was disappearing into the timestream, my voice breaking because I knew I’d never see Molly again.
Who knows, maybe in another four years I’ll do it again…
Dude. It wasn’t because I thought you’d suck. It was because I was nervous about doing kissy-kissy scenes with you and the ’stache. Even if it is just on mic, there’s something weird about doing a love scene with your boss. It’s even weirder when your boss leans over after said scene and says, “THAT WAS HOT.” I’m just saying. (And yes. He did say that. And he stroked the ’stache afterwards.)
Eeeeewww.
