Holy moly, this weekend was incredible. We had three NY producer types in from out of town. Pun Bandhu from ZenDog Productions and Carl White and Michael Coco from New World Stages (http://www.newworldstages.com/) and Stage Entertainment (http://www.stageentertainment.com/). Pun liked the show, but wasn’t overwhelmed by it. But Carl and Michael both LOVED it. So much so that Carl started conceiving the set design for the New York transfer. So much so that we started coming up with the PR and marketing campaign. So much so that they seem certain their boss is going to go for it and that we’ll be opening in New York in March for an open-ended commercial run off-Broadway, rolling out the entire Nemesis trilogy.

Meanwhile, Pun seems interested in The Death of a Cat. This sounds insane, but we talked about a possible Broadway run of that. He’s going to watch the DVD with our NY general manager Seth Goldstein soon.

I am totally blissed out!

Also, theintergalacticnemesis.com should go live this week. Character blogs from Molly, Timmy, and Jean Pierre. Plus a weekly updated graphic novel by me and Tim Doyle.

Ooooh…”Death of a Cat”! You probably don’t know this, but I’m, like, the number one, near-stalker-level fan of that work. (If it’s possible to stalk a piece of theater….) I loves me some “Intergalactic Nemesis”, but “Death” is so dark, so unique, so…so…so!! /deep breath/

Hey, if you happen to think of it and are feeling gracious, please email me offline if the New York “Death of a Cat” idea grows legs. Wouldya couldya wouldya?
